On Xumo Stream Box you can set up parental controls so that before you launch certain apps or try to make an on-device purchase you are required to enter a PIN. Each device on your account can have its own PIN and parental control settings.
How to Set Up a PIN
- Open Settings
- Go to Parental section
- Select Set up your PIN
- Enter in a PIN of your choice that you'll remember
- You will see a message confirming the PIN is ready to use.
- Select Continue
How to change your PIN
- Open Settings
- Go to Parental section
- Select Manage PIN Settings
- Re-enter PIN
- Select PIN for Purchase to require pin entry before in-app and on platform purchases
- Select PIN for Apps to require pin entry before launching an app
- Within the PIN for Apps menu, you can individually select which apps to lock or lock all apps
How to remove your PIN
- To remove a pin, go to Settings > Parental > Change PIN
- Enter your current PIN
- Select Change PIN
- Enter in the new PIN
- Confirm the new PIN
What if I forget my PIN?
If you forget your PIN, you will need to factory reset your device to clear the PIN. To factory reset the device go to Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > Factory Reset
Note: Parental control settings are specific to each Xumo Stream Box. If you have more than one device, you’ll need to set up parental controls on each one separately.
